TOUCHSTONE SP-168 Long-Lasting Penetrating Water Repellent with Lotus Effect
1. Description
Touchstone SP-168 is a water-based potassium methyl silicate solution designed to provide long-lasting water repellency to various porous inorganic building materials. It creates a "lotus effect," causing water to bead up and roll off the treated surface. SP-168 reacts with atmospheric carbon dioxide to form a water-repellent silicone resin layer. While effective, like all silicates, SP-168 may cause white residue buildup and alter the surface color of certain building materials.
